All of our procedures are performed under local anesthesia. This means that the treatment area will be thoroughly numbed so that you do not feel any discomfort. Unless you have also chosen to be sedated, there are no restrictions in terms of driving or returning to work after treatment. Our endodontist and staff can always be reached should you have any questions following your procedure, or should a problem arise.
- Please continue to take all medications as recommended and prescribed by your physician. If you have any questions, please make certain to call our office prior to your appointment
- If you have been advised by your physician or endodontist to use an antibiotic premedication on the day of your procedure, please take it as prescribed. Antibiotic premedication may be indicated in the presence of certain conditions such as mitral valve prolapse, or a heart murmur, as well as if you have a hip, knee, cardiac or other prosthesis, or if you have rheumatic heart disease. If you have any questions, please make certain to call our office prior to your appointment.
- Before coming to your appointment, please eat a full breakfast or lunch.
- Please note- If your scheduled visit is for an evaluation, please avoid taking any pain medication at least 12 hours prior to this visit. Doing this helps the endodontist to precisely diagnose the underlying source of your pain and to develop the most appropriate treatment plan.
